The NAZBA Wednesday Night Blues Jam at Charly's will be featuring a great November lineup for your dancing and listening pleasure! November 6 features Tas Cru, touring artist from Syracuse, NY, he is currently touring with his new live album. Cru is a well-seasoned performer and entertainer and knows how to read an audience. Above all else Tas Cru is a songwriter. “He is a real writer,” says Bruce Iglauer – owner/producer of the renowned Alligator Records. He sings and plays a wide variety of guitars, and he is at home on the electric, acoustic, resonator or cigar box and is known to sprinkle in a bit of harmonica from time to time. This will be a show you don't want to miss!
Next up on November 13 from Phoenix, by way of the Netherlands, is an upcoming young artist, Rinus Rino Pauel, whose musical journey has taken him from the cobblestone streets of Belgium to Phoenix, Arizona, where he developed a style that fuses blues, funk, rock and soul into a captivating blend which he uses to craft his own original songs. Whether he's wailing on his guitar or singing heartfelt tunes, Rinus brings a passion for music that shines through his performances.
November 20th brings is Elvin Killerbee from Prescott, by way of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You'll hear a little SRV influence in his style, sprinkled with his own brand of hot Cajun sauce that keeps the musical fire going all night! Elvin is equally skilled at both traditional and modern Blues classics, so your taste for excellent Blues musicianship will be satisfied.
Finishing out the month of November, on the 27th, is Big Daddy D, Darryl Porras. from his band Big Daddy D and the Big Daddy D and the Dynamites. No stranger to Northern the area, Darryl is a regular in many establishments throughout Northern Arizona. You'll hear a hot Blues guitar, blending styles of both old and new, in his own personal way and always a high energy show. In 2022, Darryl was with the runner-up finalist band Cros at the Memphis International Blues Challenge.
Backing these fine artists is Roger Smith on bass and Dr. Bob Sellani on drums.
