Stone Mosaic Workshop

Using traditional materials like natural slate, ceramic, and glass, you’ll create a small mosaic panel featuring either a floral motif or an abstract design. Over the course of the class, you’ll learn the full mosaic process from concept to completion. Begin with selecting and preparing a pattern, choose the ideal substrate and materials, and explore how different adhesives impact your work. You’ll cut, shape, and set tesserae to achieve an organic, handcrafted look, then finish with grouting techniques that enhance your design.

This workshop emphasizes traditional craftsmanship and artistic expression, making it perfect for those with some mosaic experience who want to refine their technique and work with more nuanced materials.
